Shri Acharya Devvrat is the current Governor of Gujarat. Being the Governor of Gujarat, he is also the Chancellor of state universities of Gujarat. Before taking over the Governorship of Gujarat in 2019, he also served as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He belongs to the Arya Samaj and works as the Prachark of it. 

Shri Acharya Devvrat has been working for a pollution-free environment. He has been closely associated with campaigns against female foeticide and the "Beti Bacahao Beti Padhao".
